I was able to participate in an LDS Temple Open house. I was actually really anxious about it. I had to be there by 6:30am- which meant I had to have a sitter...THAT early. I was also pretty anxious to be in a large group of strangers- greeting them and making them feel welcome- by.my.self. That's not really my thing. I don't love meeting new people. However. I was pleasantly surprise by this experience. I cannot adequately describe the feelings I had while being a representative of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While I was there, helping people find their seats, I had this overwhelming feeling of happiness...and just love. I loved those people. I didn't know them, but I loved them. I wasn't fakin' that smile! There were so many people there, some who were already members, some who may have been interested in the Church and some who may have no feelings about the Church at all. It didn't matter to me. I just didn't care. I could feel this amazing spirit of love and I hope I never forget that feeling. I imagine that must be a teeny-tiny sliver of the love our Savior has for each of us. I am so grateful I was able to be a participant!
On the home front, things are going well. We are working on a lot of at-home school work with W. He will start kindergarten this year! I can't believe it! C hasn't been feeling his best- but he's starting to feel better. I got a lot of cleaning done- I should srsly stick to that cleaning schedule I have on the fridge...it's really helpful. But, while C napped (can I get a WHA?!) I got quite a bit of some deep cleaning done. Which feels good.
